My name is Rae. I’m nineteen years young. I live in the eastern coast of the United States, I’m a florist and cashier, and I’m also a full time student at uni, where I’m just your average student.
I love studying and finding out more about cultures in foreign lands, especially Japan. Someday I’d love to travel to Egypt, Argentina, Ireland/Scotland, Germany, Russia, Australia, and other countries. It’s my goal in life to see the world. I’ve known many people in my life that never saw all there is. They’ve isolated themselves to knowing the same old, same old. I’m multicultural, I’m accepting, and I want to make my life centered around finding out as much about other people as I can.

I’m a singer at heart. I don’t do it professionally, but I used to be in choirs during middle and high school. I was never a great soloist, but I loved being a part of the whole. It taught me patience and a lot about how people are selfish and self-loving.
I’m a gamer of sorts. I like certain things, but not all. I’m not a female gamer just to impress boys like the majority of girl gamers I see. But I can still kick yer butt. I currently play MMOs like World of Warcraft (I’m an ex-Ragnarok kid), and I also play mostly PS2 games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. I love to watch people play games that I’m too chicken to play, such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil (although I’m getting much better at that now). I also like writing small stories off of games with shameless self-insertions for my own pleasure (I don’t post them on the internet unless someone wants to read them).

Music is a major part of my life. For a long period of time, I shunned hip-hop, R&B, and rap because I was tired of hearing the sexual undertones in the songs. Now I can listen to some, but not when I have a headache. ^_~ I adore techno, classical, alternative, rock, (a little bit of) punk, Jpop/Jrock, and other stuff. Aka- I like all music types, just not all songs. :P

The most important person in my life is Chris. I love him as if he were a part of me, because in a way we’ve grown together and experienced more as a couple than anyone else I know. There have been so many ups and there have been a couple of downs, but to be honest, we love each other and there’s nothing in the world that I want more than to spend my life with him by my side. I love you, chwan.

I have a love/hate relationship with the internet. I love to research things on my own time, and things that I actually like to learn about. I can learn languages, I can see pictures of places that I want to go, and I can learn about people I’ve never heard of before. What I hate about the internet is the invasion of privacy, the sexual predators, pornography and indecent websites that leave nasty viruses. I’m proud to say that I don’t, like many people, look up these things in a way to satisfy any ‘need’ that I might have. That’s what Chris is for. ^_^
I’ve had other journals before this one. My very first was an Easyjournal. Then I migrated to Xanga and (for the second time) Livejournal. No, I won’t give out my names. Those are now just things I look back on from time to time and laugh at. Yes, I was young and naïve; I’m still young and naïve. I keep trying to move on and get past all of my mistakes, and sometimes they come back to haunt me, but that’s life, and I expect that to happen until my death day.
I try to be optimistic in all of my approaches and look at the good in things. It’s my nature to have a (mostly) sunny disposition, and I’ll give anyone a chance to smile. I foil with many people that are friends of mine in this way… and sometimes I wish they could try to see the good in people too, but I might just be wishing too hard.

My journal will have personal accounts of daily life, weight loss, relationships and the usual. I’m not at all as interesting as my profile sounds. (I took an hour out of my sleeping time to write this ;]) If you’re just here to talk about wow, I will add you to my wow-only filter. If you’re here just to be a friend, I will add you back. (Please comment first.) I’m nice, but the one gripe I have is if you don’t like what I’m writing about, un-friend me. It won’t hurt my feelings! Just hit the little button if you don’t like what I write about and if I’m not interesting enough to you. ^_^ It’s that easy.
Thanks for taking the time to read all this. <3
